This year, we received a record number of exceptional projects and your acceptance speaks very highly of the quality of your work. We can’t wait to meet you and spend the week with you in Big Sky Country!

To stay in the running for the Charcoal Publishing Prize, you must be in attendance at the event.

Please mind the following timeline:

• Tuition deposit due by January 20

• Half tuition and accommodation payments due February 3

• Scholarship applications due February 10

• Need-based scholarships and student discount codes will be emailed February 24

• Final tuition payment due by March 2nd

• Additional event information and reviewer preference survey will be emailed by March 16th

• Chico Hot Springs Portfolio Review begins April 6th

• Charcoal Book Club publishing prize announcement June 12

Shared Rooms

Main Lodge
Shared Room - SHARED BATH

$65 / NIGHT

Rooms in the historic Maine Lodge are quaint and cozy and furnished with antiques. These rooms are located primarily on the second and third floor. Two twin or full sized beds with bathroom/shower facilities in the hallway. Coffee service available in the lobby, baseboard heat, wifi, well behaved pets welcome.

Deluxe
shared ROOM - PRIVATE BATH

$105 / NIGHT

Rooms throughout the rest resort are simple but well appointed with classic Montana decor. Most rooms have one or two queen-sized beds, however there are some king beds depending on the location. As this is shared lodging, we can not guarantee bed type. Outfitted with private baths and modern hospitality.

Main Lodge
Private Room - SHARED BATH

These rooms are located primarily on the second and third floor. Most have two twin or full sized beds. Bathroom/shower facilities and bathrooms in the hallways of the Main Lodge. Coffee service available in the lobby, baseboard heat, wifi, well behaved pets welcome.

Main Lodge
Private Room - Private BATH

$145/ NIGHT

Historic Main Lodge room with one full bed and bathroom in room. These rooms are located throughout the Main Lodge, primarily on the second and third floor. Coffee service available in the lobby, baseboard heat, wifi, well behaved pets welcome.

Deluxe
Private Room - PRIVATE BATH

$195 / NIGHT

Deluxe private rooms with private bathrooms are available throughout the Warren's Wing, Lower Lodge, Fisherman's Lodge, Small Rustic Cabins, and One-Room Cottages. These rooms have either one or two queen or king-sized beds with private baths.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

By paying the deposit or tuition, you are confirming your attendance to the 2020 Chico Hot Springs Portfolio Review hosted by Charcoal Book Club. The registration fee of $3,750 covers lectures, meals, and portfolio reviews at Chico Hot Springs Resort, but you are responsible for your travel to and from the seminar. Upon acceptance, we will collect an additional fee for the accommodations you choose and book lodging on your behalf. Our Jury will review all portfolios and offer invitations based on merit.

Monday (4/6) and Sunday (4/12) are considered arrival and departure days. Lectures, panel discussions, and reviews will take place starting Tuesday (4/7) and concluding Saturday (4/11). Charcoal Book Club will provide three meals per day starting with dinner Monday (4/7) through breakfast Sunday (4/11). The 50% deposit of $1,875 is due by Monday, February 3, with the remaining $1,875 due on March 2nd. All tuition payments and fees are non-refundable. However, in the unlikely event that Charcoal Book Club cancels or reschedules the event, Charcoal Book Club will make a reasonable effort to notify you and, if necessary, reimburse the full registration fee. Charcoal Book Club is not responsible for reimbursing travel expenses if the event is canceled.
